Seen, Safe, Supported
Our therapy is rooted in attachment—offering children the chance to heal and grow through safe, nurturing relationships with trusted adults
Therapeutic Care Through Attachment
In our Clinical Services, the therapeutic and treatment model that underpins our work is the attachment model. We believe that through positive role modelling and ‘therapeutic parenting’ provided by staff to the children in our care or education settings, that we offer the children and young people the opportunity to develop and experience positive relationships.
Creating Stability
Such relationships provide young people with the chance to build (possibly for the first time) a trusting, therapeutic relationship with an adult, alongside developing positive and trusting bonds with their day-to-day carers. The shift to forming trusting relationships is the foundation that can be the turning point in helping children recover from developmental trauma, for example, and aid their future progress.
